I did a painting of a dinosaur, one of my favorite creatures ever, in the simplistic style similar to the Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Color Scheme Grid Project - David Bowie

For this project, we were to select a photo of a real person to paint. We had to draw a grid over it, which we used to draw the picture onto the paper we'd paint on. The person I chose to paint was David Bowie, specifically him on the cover of his album Heroes.

Grounds painting - Wo ist die Mädchen?

For this painting, we were to experiment with different grounds. So, I took different mediums and put them together, such as paint, magazine clippings, and drawings.

Watercolor painting - Joseph Joestar redraw

For this painting, we had to practice using different forms of watercolor - liquid, pencil, and tray. I chose to paint a picture I had previously drawn and inked, but never got around to coloring. The drawing is a redraw I did of a picture of Joseph Joestar from the anime Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Palette Knife Painting - Syd Barrett

This project was to practice using palette knives, so I decided to take a picture I had drawn of Syd Barrett, one of the founders of the band Pink Floyd, and paint the rainbow over his face, and have it blurred and mixed together. 

Collage - Shine On You Crazy Diamond

This was my collage, where I took various magazine clippings from National Geographic articles and glued them down with little spots of watercolor and some sketches. In this, I glued down clippings spelling out "shine on you crazy diamond", a song by Pink Floyd.

Black History Month painting - Billie Holiday

I chose to paint Billie Holiday due to the fact that she is one of the most famous female singers of the Harlem Renaissance, and is still a very big influence today.

Choice painting 1 - "Stop Possuming"

Opossums are one of my favorite animals, and I used this as a subtle callout to people who act fake around me, complimenting and pretending to be nice when they go around and talk trash behind my back. Stop possuming = stop being fake.
